Bruce Gardner, F.S.A., E.A., M.A.A.A.
Bruce Gardner, a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and
an Enrolled Actuary, has been in the pension and employee
benefits field since 1970. Before moving to Arizona in 1985,
he was employed by the Pension Actuarial Branch of the Internal
Revenue Service in Washington DC. Since 1984, he has served
on the examination committee that develops the EA-1 exam,
a requirement for the Enrolled Actuary designation. He has
been a speaker at professional meetings and local seminars
around the country. Mr. Gardner has a B.S. in Mathematics
from St. Lawrence University and an M.S. in Actuarial Science
from Northeastern University. In addition, he maintains professional
memberships with the Society of Actuaries, American Academy
of Actuaries, and American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries.
Katherine M. Manker, C.E.B.S., E.A., M.S.P.A.
Kathy Manker, an Enrolled Actuary and Certified Employee
Benefits Specialist, has been in the pension and employee
benefits field since 1977. She has been the Director of Pension
Services for the Arizona region of a Big 6 accounting firm,
managed a major local actuarial firm, and has been an employee
benefits consultant for an international insurance broker.
She has taught pension courses at Phoenix College, a national
actuarial exam study course, and is a frequent speaker at
professional workshops. She has been the chair of the APA
Examination Committee and chair of the APA Part III Committee
for the National Institute of Pension Administrators. Ms.
Manker has a B.A. in Education and MBA in Business Administration
from Arizona State University along with a Certificate in
Employee Benefit Plans from The Institute for Paralegal Training.
She maintains professional memberships with the National
Institute of Pension Administrators, American Society of
Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and Western Pension and Benefits Conference.
She has served as President of the Arizona Chapter of the
National Institute of Pension Administrators, and on their
National Board of Directors. |
